Joey Chestnut Breaks Hot Dog Eating Contest Record Again

Patrick Bertoletti Wins First Title

Sudo Sets Record for Women

Joey Chestnut has once again broken the world record for hot dogs and buns eaten in 10 minutes at the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. Chestnut consumed 76 hot dogs on July 4, 2021, breaking his own record of 75 set in 2020.

Patrick Bertoletti of Chicago won his first Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest title by eating 58 hot dogs. Miki Sudo, the reigning women's champion, set a new record for women by eating 51 hot dogs.

Chestnut, who has won the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest a record 16 times, was not at his best on Sunday. He struggled to keep up with his usual pace and was visibly exhausted by the end of the competition.

Despite his struggles, Chestnut managed to break his own world record and win his 17th Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest title.
