Breanna Stewart Leads Storm to Victory
The Seattle Storm defeated the Las Vegas Sparks 90-82 on Sunday, moving within one game of fourth place in the WNBA standings. Breanna Stewart led the Storm with 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Jewell Loyd added 20 points and Epiphanny Prince chipped in 16.
The Storm improved to 17-10 with the win, while the Sparks fell to 16-11. Seattle is now just one game behind Las Vegas for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Storm Dominate Inside
The Storm dominated the game inside, outrebounding the Sparks 43-28 and scoring 40 points in the paint. Stewart was a force in the post, scoring 12 of her 26 points in the paint.
The Sparks, on the other hand, struggled to score inside, making just 4 of 15 shots from inside the paint. Liz Cambage, who is averaging 20.5 points per game this season, was held to just 12 points on 4-of-13 shooting.
Storm Hit Key Shots Down the Stretch
The Storm hit some key shots down the stretch to seal the win. With the Sparks trailing by just three points with less than two minutes to play, Loyd hit a jumper to give Seattle a five-point lead.
Then, after the Sparks cut the lead to three points again, Prince hit a three-pointer with 30 seconds remaining to put the game away.

The Storm will return to action on Tuesday when they host the Connecticut Sun. The Sparks will next play on Wednesday when they host the Phoenix Mercury.
