Frank Backs Schade To Fill Wissa Void

Frank backs Schade to fill Wissa void

Brentford boss convinced new signing can be potent threat

Brentford manager Thomas Frank is backing new signing Kevin Schade to fill the void left by Yoane Wissa in the Bees' attack. Wissa has been ruled out for up to two months with an ankle injury, but Frank is confident that Schade can step up and make an immediate impact.

The 21-year-old German forward joined Brentford from Freiburg in January for a fee of £20 million. He has made two appearances for the Bees so far, both as a substitute, but is yet to score a goal. However, Frank believes that Schade has the potential to be a key player for Brentford in the second half of the season.

"He's a player with a lot of quality," said Frank. "He's very good technically, he's quick, and he's got a good eye for goal. I think he can be a real threat for us in the final third."

Schade will be hoping to make his first start for Brentford in Saturday's Premier League match against Crystal Palace. The Bees have won their last two games and will be looking to extend their winning run against a Palace side who are currently 12th in the table.
